Notifications

Configure email notifications for due dates, overdue obligations, and team activity — so nothing falls through the cracks.

ObligoBoard sends automated email notifications to keep you and your team on top of compliance deadlines. You can configure which notifications you receive from Settings → Notifications.

Types of notifications

Due date reminders

A reminder is sent when an obligation is due within the next 3 days. Reminders run daily at 07:00 UTC.

Due date reminders are only sent for obligations that are not yet completed or skipped.

Overdue notifications

Sent the day after an obligation passes its due date without being completed. Overdue notifications include the obligation title, original due date, assigned team member, and a direct link.

Assignment notifications

Sent when a team member assigns an obligation to you. Includes the obligation title, due date, and a direct link to open it.

Trial and billing notifications

Sent to the account owner when:

  • Your trial has 3 days remaining
  • Your trial has 1 day remaining
  • Your trial expires
  • A payment fails or your subscription changes

Configuring your notification preferences

Go to Settings → Notifications

Click Settings in the sidebar, then select the Notifications tab.

Toggle notification types

Enable or disable each notification category using the toggles.

Save

Changes take effect immediately.

Billing notifications (payment failures, trial expiry) cannot be disabled — these are mandatory for account management.

How reminders are triggered

ObligoBoard uses a daily cron job that runs at 07:00 UTC to send due date reminders. When an admin loads the Dashboard, a background trigger also fires the reminder job — this acts as a safety net in case the scheduled cron is delayed.

Email delivery

All emails are sent from info@obligoboard.com. Add this address to your safe-senders list to ensure notifications aren't filtered to spam.

If you're not receiving notifications:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Verify your email address is confirmed in Settings → Account
  3. Confirm notifications are enabled in Settings → Notifications
  4. Contact support at support@obligoboard.com
